Congratulations to my colleagues Maura Slater (WSOM) and Sam Cahill (CIA) who along with myself took first place in the 2010 Turning Designs into Business competition.  This was a collaboration between the Weatherhead School of Management and the Cleveland Institute of Art which paired MBA students with design students to develop and submit a business plan based on a product design from the CIA student.

There were many phenomenal design ideas providing tremendous opportunities for MBA students to partner with a designer. I think this was a fantastic event and I am anxious to see this grow into a long-term collaboration between the two institutions.
