The New York Times (LINK) had an interesting article about the state of the biotech industry. Like the Big 3, the biotech and pharmaceutical industry may be easy targets for pundits to moan and groan about, however this is a very important and essential industry for our country and for the entire world. One could even argue that companies allowed to fail in the biotech industry may result in life or death situations for various people suffering from currently untreatable ailments.
